Christian (Chris) was born in Camp LeJeune, NC and raised in Landing, NJ. He graduated from Morris Catholic High School in 1988. Chris studied for his bachelor degree in international business with minors in law and history at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. While in college he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, and the National Honor Society, and he participated in many intramural sports.

After graduating cum laude from Lehigh University in 1992, Chris was accepted into Stetson Law School in Gulfport, FL. While at Stetson he was a teaching fellow assisting other law students in legal research and writing. Chris also interned with the Honorable Judge Pennick in St. Petersburg, FL, as well as for a federal judge in the United States District Court in the Middle District of Florida. He graduated with honors from Stetson in December 1994, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995.

Chris began his legal career in Tampa, FL working for a private law firm in the area of insurance defense. By defending insurance companies and their insureds in various legal issues, including but not limited to personal injury, arson, medical malpractice, premises liability, insurance coverage issues, and errors and omissions suits, he gained invaluable insight into the inner workings of the insurance defense industry.

He put this knowledge to work when he decided to change course and began practicing in plaintiff’s personal injury law at a well-known firm in St Petersburg, FL. The partners of this prestigious firm were so impressed with Chris’s performance that they quickly promoted him from associate to partner in the firm. He became the youngest partner in the history of the firm.

In 2001 a law practice recruiter pursued him as a potential candidate for a position in Orlando, FL focused again on insurance defense. Chris was offered a position at this national firm and relocated to Central FL in 2002. While at this firm he was quickly promoted to a supervisory position. Despite his continued success in the area of insurance defense, Chris longed to represent individuals instead of the big insurance companies. It was also his long-term ambition to start his own law practice.

As such he began his own personal injury plaintiff’s firm in 2003. Chris now had the time to focus on individual clients, devoting his legal expertise and offering personal attention to the case files. He is a member of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida and Southern District of Florida.

Chris is married to Maureen Whelan Anouge, Esq., who is also an attorney, and his partner in the Anouge & Associates. She incorporated their practice in 2003. Presently they reside in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando with their four children.
